A sewer system adequacy test ~s performed on the system located on
the referenced property, as you requested. The septic tank ~s
pumped and verified to have a capacity of 1000 gallons. The absorption
trench was tested hy a continuous flow of water over ~ period of
48 hours without any adverse effect on the system. .
It can be concluded from this test that the waste water di~pesal
system serving the three bedroom residence located on this property
is currently functioning adequotely. However, the system cannot
be guaranteed against subsequent failure.

Therefore, before we can approve the request for sewer

you may have on the existing system° This would includs,
type and size of the tank, type of leachi~q area and
drawings°
After the drawings and information have been s~mitted,
we will also re,dire the following:
(1) A percolation test be rtul for adequacy~ see handout.
(2) tlave the tank pumped to verify its size.
If the ~ank is the required size and if the percolation test
pass~s, the adecfaacy test~ we may approve the request.
If either of the above fail to meet the department's require-
ments, we will require an upgrade. Prior to the upgrade, a
soils test must be performed and a permit issued by this
department.
