This in- vestigation was performed in accordance with your request of June 14, 1974, and those procedures outlined in a letter dated September 13, 1971 by Mr. Rolf Strickland of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Department of Environmental Quality. A single test hole was put down within the Lot 8A area for the purpose of defining general subsurface soil conditions for the proposed sanitary system. Excavation was accomplished with a tractor-mounted backhoe and the test hole was extended .to a Total depth of 14..~ ~eet below ground surface. The final log prepared'ofor~he'~t~'~i~ h~s been included in Drawing A-O1. G ound w_aterwasnot~%m the test hole. During ~Xcavation and loOSe--ere was no indicatiom of ground water below the immediate base of the test hole which was terminated at a depth of 14.0 feet. Since the soil was relatively dry, we do not feel that the water table is located within the upper few feet below the test hole base or to a depth of 17.0 feet.
