Re: 40 Acre parcel south of Rabbit Creek Road
H.V.L. Job 976030
Dear Mr. Duke:
At the request of Mr. Darl Kvasager of H. V. Lounsbury &
Associates, we have completed a subsurface soils investi-
gation on your property and transmitted herewith are the
results of the test boring data.
The purpose of the test borings was to determine the soil
types, ground water and bedrock conditions which occur
to a depth of 16 feet on this 40 acre parcel of land.
A total of 8 test borings were drilled as shown on page 3
of this report. We spaced the test borings approximately
500 feet apart except for line C where deep snow and heavy
tree growth forced us to drill tests borings where practical
in this area. The test borings were drilled to a depth of
16 feet with a tracked mounted Mobile B-50 drill using con~
tinuous flight augers. Soil samples were generally obtained
at 5 foot intervals. Laboratory analysis of the soil samples
consisted of moisture contents and sieve analysis. The
results of each of the test borings and lab tests are shown
on pages through
Discussion
The typical soils encountered in this 40 acre tract consist
of silty sands (SP/SM) and silty gravels (GP/GM). Drainage
areas required for on-site sewage systems would generally
range from 150 to 250 square feet per bedroom in these soils.
No ground water or bedrock was encounterd to a depth of 16 ft.
Page number ~ shows the plan review of the soil test borings
performed. A profile view was not included with this report
due to the irregular hilly terrain which requires a detailed

topographic map. Subsurface soil conditions are also too
complex to draw a general profile view.
We feel tha~ the information provided with this report will
suffice for a preliminary review.
If we can be of further assistance or if you have any questions,
please contact our office.
Very truly yours,
