Re: McArthur Park Subdivision
Gentlemen:
At the request of Mr. Norm Hudec with the Municipality
Public Works Department, we are requesting DHEP approval for
the proposed grading plan for McArthur Park Subdivision. Mr.
Hudec has expressed concerns regarding the proximity of existing
septic systems to the proposed cut slope on the east boundary of
McArthur Park Subdivision. The three lots which could be
impacted are Lots 10, 11, & 12 of Block I, Holly Hills Subdivision.
As you can see by examination o~ the attached plan view and cross
section drawings, there appears to be no chance of effluent
daylighting on the proposed cut slope..
Please take under consideration the following information:
I. Cut slopes will start at 10' from the property line at lots~'~
10 and 11 and 20' for lot 12 and will be at 3:1 slope.
2. Soils are 5P and GW which will optimize downward
rather than lateral flow of wastewater from the septic
system trenches.
Due to increasing numbers of new residences in the area~
it is likely that the existing septic systems in Holly Hills
Subdivision will be replaced by Municipal sewer in the
near future. Subdivisions on both sides of Holly Hills
have existing or planned public sewer systems.
