Would you please inform us whether the requirement to move the well and seepage pit further apart has been met or waived and whether it is now possible to obtain Health Department approval on the system. Box 600 Anchorage, Alaska 99501 SUBJECT: h'ater and Sewer Systems for Bernie Hopp Residence, 2850 East 68th Avenue. Dear blr. Long: Water for the subject residence is supplied by a 90' drilled well. A water sample taken from the well showed it to be free of bacteria. Tho sewer system consists of a 1250 gallon septic tm~k and a seepage pit. The sewer system is in concurrence with our regulations with the exception that the seepage pit is located too close to the well. In a conversation with bir. Hopp, he said he was agreeable to moving tho seepage pit after spring break-up to outside the proper protective radius for the well. The sewer system should ca~e no problem in tho intori,m time mttl spring break-up when thc seepage pit can be moved. Our Department will give their approval to the sewer and water systems pending tho escrow of funds for the moving of the seepage pit to the required distance from tho well prior to June 1, 1971.
