A sewer system adequacy test vms performed on the system located on the
referenced property as you requested. The septic t~nk Yms pulped and verified
to have a capacity of approximately t000 gallons. The absorption area
originally constructed to serve this residence consisted of a seepage nit
~]ich is now considered to be abandoned. The absorption trench which you
added ::eh upgrading the system appro×imate!y two years ego ~.~s tested by
a continuous flow of water over a period of 48 hours. Approximately 610
=allons of ,~ter was added during the first 2% hour period. The water
level in the sump at the end of the trench regislered a rise of approximately
7 inches. A~,~ro×im~tely 656 gallons of water was then added over another
2Y+ hour period with no additional rise of the ]~ter level :n the s::mp at the
end of the trench.
It can be concluded from the shove test that the absorption trench is currently
adequate to support 4 bedrooms.. The septic tank, however~ is only adequate
for ~ bedrooms. It should ~lso be noted that the septic t'nk %~s installed
directly adjacent to the foundation of the house.
