Plan Review for well, fence & rocks encroachments, 24649 Chickadee Street.
Dear Joseph Soltis:
The Right of Way Section (ROW) has reviewed your Encroachment Permit Application for the well, fences & rocks
surrounding your property.
Our ROW Code Enforcement Officer, Andy Dean visited the site and took photographs of the area on October 10,
2024. He and our office determined the rocks not shown on the as -built is in the MOA Chickadee Right of Way This is a
safety hazard and prevents the authorized use of the Right of Way.
The well and fence in the Eastside right of way falls within the State of Alaska ADOT purview. Please contact ADOT
Right of Way @ 907-269-0700 to continue your request for an encroachment permit in their rights of ways.
Your Encroachment Permit Application in the Chickadee right of way is being denied for the following reasons:
® Structures were constructed on Municipality of Anchorage property without the required Right of Way permit.
® Structures do not meet approved encroachment guidelines.
® The proximity of the rocks and fences hinders the effective removal and storage of snow and other street maintenance
and are safety hazards.
® You have not made any engineering justifications to allow an encroachment to be placed within the municipal rights of
way.
