100 FEET FOR A PRIVATE WELL OR i50 TO 200 FEET FROM 8 PUBLIC WELL DEPENDING
UPON THE TYPE OF PUBLIC WELL.
MINIMUM DISTANCE FROM A PRIVATE WELL TO A PRIVATE SEWER LINE IS 25 FEET AND
TO A COMMUNITY SEWER LINE IS 75 FEET.
WELL LOGS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE RETURNED TO THE DEPARTMENT WITHIN ~0 DAYS
OF THE WELL COMPLETION.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS MAY APPLY. SPECIFICATIONS AND CONSTRUCTION DIAGRAMS ARE
AVAILABLE TO INSURE PROPER INSTALLATION.

Subject: Class "C" Waiver Request - Lot ll A, Block l,
Eklutna Height~ Subdivision
Based on a review of your submittals of May ll, and June 7, 1984, a waiver
to 143 feet from septic tank to the Class "C" well for the above referenced
property is approved contingent upon the following:
If it becomes necessary to replace or add onto the waste
distribution field, no encroachment of the 150 foot radius
from the well is allowed (this would probably mean a new
water source would have to be considered or discontinue
use of this well as a public water supply).
2. The Class "C" well on referenced property is limited to
supplying water only for Lot llA for a duplex unit.
The Class "C" water supply is to be sampled and submitted
once monthly for six consecutive months and found to be
free of bacteria~-~-~tamination.
4. The existing leachfield and septic system are to be
properly disinfected at the time of abandonment.
The waste distribution field is approved as designed. The proposed drain-
field described in your June 7, 1984 letter encroaches within the 10 feet
setback specified in Municipality of Anchorage requirement. Based on a
conversation this date with Susan Oswalt of the Municipality, the system
is being allowed to be within that setback.
