Date of Test: December 23, & 24, !992 Well Depth: 120 ft. Static Water Level 100 ft. Requirements: 3 bedroom - 450 gallons per day Test: The well was pumped for 2 hr 15 minutes at varying rates,~.producing 380 gallons, at which time the water level was drawn down to the pump at ll0 ft. ? The well was allowed to recover for 40 min., and pumping was restarted for 1 hr. 15 min. varying the rate around 1 gallon per min. to determine the rate at which the water level would remain constant. 68 gallons were pumped, total water pumped was 498 gallons. The well was allowed to recover for 20 hours and pumping restarted, adjusting the rate until the constant water level was found at a rate of 1.2 gallons per minute. Pouch 7-010 Anchorage, Alaska Attn: Claudia JoRas Re: Adequacy Test of Existing Sanitary Sewer System; Lot 7, Block 2, Colonial Park Subdivision, Eagle River, Alaska Dear Ms. Jonas: Per your request of June 16, 1978 we conducted a test of the sanitary sewer system on the above described property. The septic tank was pumped prior to the performance of the test on the crib. During the test the liquid level in the crib was measured, before and after the addition of 1000 gallons of water. The total depth of the crib was 8.4' All liquid levels were measured below the top of the standpipe and are summarized in the following table. Liquid Level Before Water Added Liquid Level After Water Added Total Rise. in Liquid Level 7.4' 5.9' 1.5' The water level rose 18" with the addition of 1000 gallons of water, indicaging an acceptance rate of 55.6 gallons per inch in the crib. Twenty-four hours later the liquid level was again measured and found to be 6.8'. It had dropped 0.9 feet or 10.8 inches. This indicates an average effluent acceptance rate of 600.5 gallons per day for the surrounding soils. If the 2 bedroom residence on the property is to house 4 people the average load on the system can be expected to be 300 gallons per day. We can therefore conclude that the system is disposing of effluent at an adequate rate for a 2 bedroom residence. MUNICIPALITY OF ANCHORAGe. DEPT.
