As we subsequently discussed,the septic tank needed to be replaced and a new tank has been installed at a location in excess of the 100' requirement,negating the need for a separation distance waiver for the septic tank. As such,I request that the waiver fee be refunded to the owners. The inspection report for the installation of the new septic tank is attached along with an updated As-Built Survey. Bragaw Street Anchorage,Alaska 99519 RE: Lots 5 & 6, Chugiak Gardens Subdivision; COSA& Waiver Dear Mr. Ecklund: Reference is made to our recent telephone conversation regarding the septic tank serving the single family residence on Lots 5 & 6, Chugiak Gardens. Based on our conversation,the tank needs to be replaced with a new tank. Attached is a completed permit application for that work. The existing septic tank will be pumped and properly abandoned. The new, 1000 gallon steel tank, is planned to be installed closer to the existing drainfield, providing a 100' separation so that a waiver would not be required. The new tank would still connect to the existing drainfield at the same location, but would be installed closer to it. The installation is proposed to be done by Scott Johnson of Dirtworks and we would inspect it.
