Anchorage, Alaska 99503 SUBJECT: Sewer and w~ter Cactllttes on Lot 11, Block 5, Alptne Vtllage Subdv. Dear M~s. Stern: Your request for approval of the sewer and water facilities on Lot ll, Block 5, Alpine Village Subdivision has been processed by this Department. The water system serving this lot cannot be approved for the following reasons: l) The subject lot is using thew ell on Lot 10, Block 5 making this Wall a Semi-public system which must meet semi-public distance requirements of 80' to the tank and 120' to the seepage pit. 2) The sawer system on the subject lot {ll), of which there ts no record, is located only 67' from this well. 3) Public sewer is not expected to be put into this area for at least two (2) y~ars. 4) lhe drilling of an individual well on this lot and disconnecting from the present water supply is not possible bedause another well cannot meet the necessary dtstence requirements. The main reason for thts is that the sever system on Lot lO is located in the front of the lot and can only be 68' at the most from a well to be located tn the front far carnet of Lot 11. The require- ment ts 100'. Unttl such ttme as publtc water or publlc sever ts available to thts area, thts Department cannot approve the sever and water facilities, The stgned affidavit from the owner of Lot 11, Mr. Robert Ferguson, was cetved 8/12/74 and accepted by thts Department. Hr. Ferguson certified that the extsttng sever system conststs of a seepage ptt (no stze glven) wtth a depth of 8' and asepttc tank of approximately 1000 gallons,and certified that the system was operating satisfactorily.
