Re: Permit For "Holding Tank"
Dear Mr. Reed:
This letter is designed to inform you of my particular dilemma, which is, the
need to obtain permission to use a holding tank in order to construct a single
family dwelling.
A) Reasons for needing permit to use "Holding Tank."
(1) Soils fall in SC/CL class (USCS), allowing very little percolation.
(2) Desire sanitary and legal means to facilitate permanent residency.
(3) Area residents are working toward developing a community sewer sys-
tem. Holding tanks afford a temporary means of avoiding additional
area ground-water pollution.
B) Means of maintaining "Holding Tank."
(1) "Valley Cesspool Vacuum Pumping Company" has agreed to provide 24 hour
pumping service and disposal in accordance with G.G.A.B. requirements.
C) Self-interest.
(1) Three year residency of Girdwood area with Local District 11 Voter
Registration.
(2) Have real estate and adequate funds to construct said dwelling and
establish local habitation without unnecessary rental overhead.
Sincerely,
Terry M. McCormick
