UPON THE TYPE OF PUBLIC WELL.
MINIMUM DISTANCE FROM A PRIVATE WELL TO A PRIVATE SEWER LINE IS 25 FEET AND
TO A COMMUNITY SEWER LINE IS ?5 FEET.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS MAY APPLY. SPECIFICATIONS AND CONSTRUCTION DIAGRAMS ARE
AVAILABLE TO INSURE PROPER INSTALLATION.

Dear Mr. Strickland:
Per our recent conversation, attached is a plot plan
of my Alyeska lot with the "proposed" septic location.
In my judgment, a septic system is not feasible as the
available location is extremely wet with the water table
at or near surface. For this reason I request a holding
tank permit.

Lot 14, Block 7, Alyeska Basin No. 6
The referenced lot is in the Girdwood/Alyeska Sanitary Sewer
Lateral Improvement District No. 60-1, Schedule IIA. The
District is legally formed and the Water and Sewer Utilities
are required by law to provide the necessary service. This ser-
vice has been scheduled to begin early this year, but has been
temporarily delayed. It is not expected to begin later than
June of 1981, however.
The Anchorage Water and Sewer Utilities, Sewer Division cannot
guarantee the anticipated schedules as problems can sometimes
delay the design and service.
