The average of two holes for square foot per bedroom calculations was 270, twenty feet over the Borough maximum of 250 square feet. As shown on the site plan, the base materials are a tight sandy silty gravel to a siky sandy gravel in. pit one and similar material to a depth of 6 feet overlying a blue-gray cobbly clayey silt. Further examination of previously dug pits in the surrounding area corroborated the till and clay subsurface condition. Under these conditions, holding tanks or a central treatment system would be necessary for adequate sewage disposal. Either a lagoon or aeriation system would be possible depending on effluent quantities and Borough requirements and thinking especially on the aeriation system.
