An engtneer registered tn the State of Al&ska must certify the work and as-butlts submitted to the Borough and the State. Lanz: The se~er system serving the subject properties is in violation of State and Borough Ordinances. The discrepancies are as follows: a} Cesspool is 70' from the creek and 100' is required. b) ~o septic tank is used in this system. c} Public sewer is available to Lot 1 where the cesspool exists. It is rec~ended by this ~epar~ent that all affected lots consider a coF~on sewer li~)e connected to public sewer. The process for this type of project is as follows: a} An engineer, certified in Alaska, nust draw the blueprints for the sewer line construction. b} The blueprints are tfmn subnitted to D.E.Q.-G.A.A.B., Public Works- ~.P:.~.~. and the State ~epart~ent of Enviro~nental Conservation for approval. c) Upon approval the project is ready for construction by whatever company the property o~ners desire. d) Upon completion, as-builts of the sewer line are submitted for approval. On October 27, 1973 you were notified of the discrepancy and required correction by August l, 1974. Another notice was sent April 12, 1~74 M~garding the re- quired compliance. Legal action will result if there is no effort ~de towards co~pliance. In order to prevent legal action the prelin~inary plans drawn by an engineer must be submitted.
