The proposed on-site sewer system will have little or no effect on the adjacent systems for
the following reasons:
1. The drainfield on Lot 2, Block 2 is about 50 feet away from the proposed drainfield.
Other systems in the area are well over 200 feet away.
2. The subdivision has large lots and granular soils that drain well.
3. AH wells and surface waters are well outside tlie required 100 feet.
4. Reserve space is adequate based on our test holes.
5. The septic system will be topsoiled, seeded and mounded to provide drainage away
from the system.

Re:
Addendum to Letter dated 6/28/78
Percolation Test on Lot 1, Block 1
Bear Valley Subdivision
Dear Mr. Bredersen:
Several clarifications can be made to the above referenced
report.
1. No water table, or any indication of a water table
was observed during the exploration. It should be
noted that this is affirmed on the test hole log
under the "Free Water Level: None Observed". The
expression "wet"~s-.u~ed__in._the~escription of some of
the soil types. ~This is not sat~i~O~g, and is not
indicative of the~-pres~eIrc:~-~f:' ~-~¥~a~er. Our
standard description for such a condition is "saturated"
not "wet". No seepage was observed in the boring. No
standing water was ever observed.
2. The method of the percolation test is in as close,
conformance to the USPH ~ervice guidelines as is pos-
sible in a drilled hole. The 3/4" slotted pipe is only
contingency measure in case of total collapse of the
hole. The percolation test was run in the si_x_£nc_h
diameter test hole, not just in the 3/4" pipe. The
l~-~-~ed~¥~on'rate of 13.3 minutes/inch ~pplies to
the soil from 4' to 16' deep.
We hope these clarifications are helpful.
Very sincerely,
MRN/kf

Gentlemen:
Transmitted herin are the results of the subsurface investigation
performed on April 11 and 12, 1974 on the Tedson property
located in Section 6, T.11 N., R. 2 W. The test hole logs
and grain size distribution curves which follow immediately
after the text.
Exploration was accomplished with a Nodwell RN 75 mounted, mobile
B-50 drill fitted with either a hollow stem or solid core continuous
flight auger. Standard penetration tests were taken at 5~
intervals by advancing a 2" split spoon sampler through the
hollow stem auger into the soil by means of a pin guided
140 pound weight free falling 30". The blows were recorded
for each 6" advancement and the number of blows required to
advance the sampler 12" is by definition the "Standard
Penetration." Grab samples were taken at 5' intervals from the
flights of the solid core auger from near the bit.
Ail samples were visually classified in the field and laboratory
in accordance with the attached sheets 1 - 3. Additional
laboratory effort on the samples included grouping, determination
of the moisture contents and mechanical and hydrometer analyses
to fully delineate the grain size distribution of the major
soil groups.
Because of the need for immediate transmittal of this data,
discussion and recommendations with regard to earthwork and
foundation considerations are not included in this report.
we can be of any further service in this or other projects,
please feel free to contact our office.
