At the time of construction unsuitable soil conditions were encountered. A new test hole was excavated and better soils were found. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole. We are proposing that a new 1000 gallon septic tank and deep trench type drainfield be installed. Comments regarding the design, are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached log which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an application rate of 1.0 gallons/day/fie should be used. 2. TRENCH DESIGN: a. Percolation Rate: 2.5 minutes/inch b. Proposed Application Rate: 1.0 gallons/day/ti2 c. NumberofBedrooms: 3 d. Design Flow: 450 gallons per day e. Minimum Absorption Area: 450 fl2 f. Total Depth: 12 feet (max.) g. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography site plan, the average topography in the area of the proposed drainfield is a 10-15 percent slope running approximately southwest to northeast. Probable Impact Narrative Legal Description: Lot 12, Block 2, Stmdi Lake Subdivision Well Impacts The 100 foot radius will arc into Lot 11 approximately 12 feet at the deepest penetration point. This should have minimal impact as Lot 11 has been previously developed with a septic and well sites. Subsurface Disposal System Imoacts Lots 3, 4, and 5 of Sand Lake Subdivision, to the north of Lot 12, will not be able to place a well within 20 feet of the southern property line. This does not appear to be a significant impact as Lots 4 and 5 have wells located on the northern portion.
