All construction shall be in accordance with:
1. The attached approved design.
2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska
Wastewater Disposal Regulations (18AAC72) and Drinking Water Regulations (18AAC80)
3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer shall notify the Development
Services Department per AMC 15.65. Coodinate with On -Site staff regarding preferred method.
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather
shall be either:
a. Opened and Closed on the same day, or
b. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing
Special Provisions:
1. Confirm septic system in SW corner of property and decommission if necessary.
2. The water well on the southern part of the property serves the house to the south on T12N R3W SEC 27
LT 69 S2. This is to be resolved prior to a future COSA for either property.

To whom it may concern:
This is a request for a septic permit on the above referenced lot. A test hole was
excavated and found silty gravel (GM) for the entire 12-foot depth with water at 10’
during excavation and after the 7-day monitoring period. A simple 5-wode trench
has been designed, see the site plan. The perc rate was 4 minutes per inch.
The lot slopes gently about 5 to 10 percent towards the south. None of this proposed
design will impact the surrounding neighbors.

Test i~esults: After 11 yeqrs of operation the bottom two feet of the cr~b are
barely percolating. The top two feet are in good shape and are
absorbing water at a rate of 1500 gal per 2b hour period.
This absorption rate is in excess of the municipal requrement.
