2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska
Wastewater Disposal Regulations (18AAC72) and Drinking Water Regulations (18AAC80)
3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer shall notify the Development
Services Department per AMC 15.65. Provide notification by calling (907) 343-7904 (24/7).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather
shall be either:

b. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing

To whom it may concern,
This letter is to request a septic permit for the above referenced lot. Two test holes were excavated
and found poorly graded silty gravels (GM) for the entire depth with no water observed during
excavation or after the 7 -day monitoring period. This matches the conditions observed during the
excavation of two previous test holes that were completed on this lot by Mike Anderson and previously
submitted as part of an approved septic and well permit. The previously permitted well was installed
the septic system was not installed by the previous owner.
The lot was purchased last year by my brother Benjamin Bailey and myself. Our plan is to subdivide
the lot and build two houses. The proposed future house layout and property subdivision is outlined in
the attached figures.
The new septic system will consist of a new plastic 1500 gallon tank and will be installed with a gravity
flow narrow trench system, see the attached site plan. The perc rate was 20 minutes. The lot slopes to
the northwest at about 2 to 3 percent grade with no cut slopes or standing water within 100 feet of the
site. This new system will not impact any of the surrounding neighbors.

To Whom it may concern:
This is a request for a septic and well permit on the above referenced lot. Two test holes was excavated and
found poorly graded silty gravels (GM) for the entire depth with no water during excavation or after the 7
day monitoring period. A new 1500 gallon plastic tank will be installed with a gravity flow narrow trench
system, see the site plan. The perc rate was 20 minutes. The lot slopes to the northwest at about 2 to 3
percent with no cut slopes or standing water within 100 feet of the site. This new system will not impact
any of the surrounding neighbors.

We are submitting herewith the test boring results and our comments
regarding so~l conditions encountered at the subject site. This investi-
gation was performed in accordance with your request o~ May 14, 1973
and those procedures outlined in a letter dated September 13, 1971 by
IV[r. Rol~ Strickland o~ the Greater Anchorage Area Borough, Department
o~ Environmental Quality.
A single test hole was put down wibhln the Lot 19 area ~or the purpose of
defining general subsurface soil conditions ~or 'the proposed sanitary sys-
tem. Excavation was accomplished with a tractor-mounted baclchoe and
the test hole was extended to a total depth of 13 f. eet below ground sur-
face. Tile ~inal log prepared ~or the test hole has been included in Draw-
lng A-01.
Ground water was not encountered in the test hole.
