The building is made fronl the plates of an old steel water tank. Mr. Thompson uses it as his welding shop. There is no crawl ~space as the floor is slab on grade. When I visited the site, the trench was already dug to 11 feet depth. To move the trench 2 feet to the north would have been difficult because of the type of soil and the location of the spoil pile and that old ATCO trailer. Since the building is a slab type the top of the trench is several feet below the floor nlevatlon. There is nothing to restrict the flow of water away from the trench.
