The septic tank was pumped prior to the performance of the test on the seepage pit. During the test the liquid level in the seepage pit was measured before and after the addition of 1,000 gallons of water. The water level rose 16.8 inches with the addition of 1,000 gallons of water, indicating a capacity of 59.5 gallons per inch.
