Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6650 Re: BLM Lot 165. To Whom it may concern: This is a request for a new septic system permit. The existing system was installed in the late 70's and is failing. The soil logs from the test hole excavation show loose light gray silty sand for the full 20 foot depth and no water observed during the excavation for the monitoring period. The existing system will be abandoned in-place due to its inside the well radius. The new system is a simple deep trench with 7 feet of effective depth. The lot is large, 2.5 acres, and all of the wells have been shown for your review. The slope near the house is flat, then increases to about 20% near the southwest comer.
