The existing septic system was installed in 1976 and consists of a "Jet Aeration" system and deep trench type drainfield. Per the owner, his existing system is in a state of failure and he would like to upgrade the septic tank and drainfield. We are proposing to decommission the existing septic tank per UPC and install a new 1250-gallon Greer Tank rated for 10' burial with a deep trench type drainfield. One testhole was excavated on the property and the drainfield is designed within its 30-foot radius. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached 2019 testhole by Garness Engineering Group, Ltd. which shows the soil classifications, percolation test, and groundwater monitoring. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface water concerns. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: There are no topography concerns.
