High Phukan Consulting Engineers, Inc. 2702 Gambell, Suite 103 Anchorage, Alaska 99503 WALTER J. HICKEL, GOVERNOR 563-6775 Subject: Lot 1, NG Subdivision, Section 4, T. 15 N., R. 1 W., Anchorage, Alaska, Wastewater Disposal System, ADEC Project Number 9121-DA-050; Plan Review Dear Mr. High: This is in response to your submittal, received in this office on February 21, 1991, which included design plans for a wastewater disposal system to be installed on the above referenced property. I have reviewed the submitted information and have the following comments. Based on the intended use of the facility and the assumption of the subsurface soil conditions, as detailed in the submitted data, it appears that the proposed wastewater disposal system is adequately sized (1750 gallon, two compartment septic tank and 900 square feet of absorption area) as noted in your plans. Therefore, subject to the following requirements, the construction plans are approved for the concerns of this Department, in accordance with the provisions of 18 AAC 72, Wastewater Disposal Regulations. The installation of the wastewater disposal system will need to be monitored by a Professional Engineer (P.E.). Complete as-built drawings of the wastewater disposal system will need to be submitted to this office under the stamp of a P.E. The submitted as- built drawings will need to verify soils, water table and impermeable strata separation. This approval does not imply the granting of additional authorizations, nor obligate any state, federal, or local regulatory body to grant required authorizations. Prior to serving water to more than a single family residence, the owner of the facility will need to obtain a operation certificate from this Department. With the information requested in the Class C Public Water System Checklist, enclosed, and the information already submitted, the Department will be able to issue the necessary operation certificate for the proposed Class C Public Water System. Thank you for your cooperation with this Department. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, y///~ Environmental Engineer CO: John Smith, DHHS Gerald Jennings, Owner KKK/skpf
