Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: New Well and Septic System Permits Hillside North #1 Lot 3 The owner has requested we proceed forward to obtain new well and septic system permits for the subject lot. The proposed systems will serve a new 3- bedroom residence. A testhole was dug to a depth of 16 on June 25, 2024. No groundwater was observed during the test nor after the 7-day monitoring period. We propose a 1000-gallon septic tank with an enlarged 42 long by 2 wide trench with 6 effective depth, a total depth of 10 maximum from original grade to serve a total of 4 bedrooms per the owners request. We have enlarged the field dimensions to provide longer use of the field. With this proposed system we do not expect there to be any daylighting to occur within the surrounding areas. All adjacent lots to the south, west, and north, are developed and are served by private wells and septics. The property to the east is vacant. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed tank and field. The new well will be greater than 100 from the septic area and there are no wells within 200 feet of the proposed septic site except as shown on the system design. The new tank and field will be outside any protective well radii. We do not expect there to be any adverse effect on adjacent lots by the development of this property.
