Mr. Fred Kenley inspected the installation and found it to be excellent. My heavy equipment background started in Oregon in 1962 when I used a backhoe to install irrigation pipe and dug under large stumps for blasting. Since that time I have operated excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, snowplows, and boom trucks. Owner: Mr. Alan Dubner On June 3, 1995, the above referenced 3.23 acre site was inspected for the suitability of installation of an on-site waste water disposal system. The site is located in Stuckagain Heights towards the east side of the Anchorage bowl at the north end of Oline Circle. The system is being designed to meet the requirements of a four bedroom home scheduled for construction in the summer of 1995. The planned system will include a 1,250 gallon septic tank and a standard deep trench absorption system. The site slopes from east to west with grade ranging from 0-25 %. The south end of the parcel slopes towards Oline Circle at approximately 10%. The immediate area that has been selected for the waste water disposal system has an average slope of 1% towards the west. The site is moderately treed with birch, spruce, and alders. No obstructions were observed that would prevent surface water runoff. On-site observation and physical survey shows that there are no water wells nor private waste water disposal systems within a 100' radius of the proposed system. No surface water was observed at the time of the inspection and it appears that there is no potential for contamination of future water wells. One single percolation test was performed at the site in determining an adequate location for the waste water disposal system. An initial test pit for soil classification was dug to a depth of 16-feet. The substrata consisted of 2~foot of organic overburden overlying 3-feet of dense silty sandy gravel underlain by sand with gravel and trace silt. Neither bedrock nor ground water was observed in the test pit. Due to the adequately percolating soils one test pit was deemed sufficient for both the primary and secondary absorption fields. The percolation rate for the test pit was,found to be between 1-5 minutes at approXimately 4-feet below grade and slightly less 1 minute per inch at a depth of 5-feet. The material was laboratory tested, by Shannon & Wilson, and found to contain approximately 50% sand (passing #4 screen).
