Box 774649 Eagle Rioer, Alaska 99577 (907) 694-$57~/ SOILS REPORT BLOCK 4, HUNDRED HILLS SUBDIVISION 1/22/1987 On September 24, 1986 we logged two (2) test holes dug on Block 4, Hundred Hills Subdivision. The holes were located as shown on the attached site plan. The soils logs for the two test holes are attached. Soils consist of gravel materials and no groundwater was found in either hole. During backfilling, we placed a 4" perforated pipe into the holes to a minimum depth of 14 feet. These pipes were monitored over an 8-day period. No water was found in either tube. The test holes were dug and monitoring took place towards the end of a wet weather period. The groundwater should have been at or close to its seasonal high elevation at this time. The entire site appears to be well drained. Gravelly soils are evident in the test holes and road cuts. We did not observe high groundwater in the test holes, and we do not believe that high groundwater conditions exist over the entire site, with a few exceptions. Based upon our observations, these exceptions would be as follows: 1) 25 feet on each side of the south fork of Eagle River. 2) A marshy area generally within a lO0-foot radius of the southwest corner of Block 4. 3) Within 50. feet of a small lake located near the midpoint of the south boundary of Block 4.
