Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Subject: Gentlemen: Lot 9, Block 7 Paradise Valley Subdivision Well and Septic Permit My firm was contacted to investigate the possibility of installing of a new system at the above referenced property. Currently the lot is undeveloped. A single test holes was excavated on November 28, 1996. The soil report and percolation test results are attached. Ground water was monitored for eleven days. The water stabilized at fourteen and one half feet below ground level or one and one half feet above the bottom of the test hole. Bedrock was encountered at the bottom of the test hole. The lot is approximately 0.58 acres in size. It slopes to the southwest at a rate of approximately three to five percent on the northern portion of the lot and 10 to 15 percent on the southern portion. The proposed installation will be located on the northern portion of the lot and greater than I00 feet away from the proposed well serving this property and 25 feet from the water service lines. The surrounding systems are located greater than 100 feet from the proposed installation, the lots to the north and west are undeveloped. The neighboring wells, across Austria Drive, are located greater than 200 feet from the proposed system. See attached design. The new system will maintain over six feet vertical separation to the bedrock and four feet vertically to the ground water.
