Dear Sh': Attached is a final construction drawing for the above referenced property. Two construction inspections were performed during the construction of the septic system. The fu'st inspection was performed the evening of September 9. During this inspection, I verified the offset distances from the well to the tank and from the well to the east end of the trench. I also confmned the depth and the length of the trench. The distance from the west end of the disposal field to the water well on the adjoining propm~ was measured at 124.5'. The grade of the pipe into the septic tank was found to be 2%.. The second inspection was performed the evening of September 12. At this inspection, the draintield gravel and the pipe had been installed. Elevations were measured at various points. These elevations are provided in tabular form on the attached drawing. The distances from fixed points to the westernmost end of the drainfield and the western end of the septic tank were measured. These distances are shown on the attached drawing. The installation of this septic system varied slightly from the approved system in that: - The building had to be moved about 30 feet to the west before a building Permit would be issued. Shifting the house west, forced the tank ouffiow pipe to be connected to the west end of the drainfield instead of the east end as shown in the permit. - The monitoring tube was placed in the eastern end of the trench rather than the western end. SPECIAL PROVISIONS RECEIVED BY ISSUED BY: DATE Lot 7, Block 3 Overlook Estates A narrative description of the probable impacts to properties adjacem to Lot 7 Block 3, Overlook Estates is provided below: General Overlook Estates is located approximately 7 miles up Eagle River van y. The subdivision is situated in the foothills of the Chugach Mountains on the north side of Eagle River. A soils investigation of tho subdivision wa~ performed in the summer of 1983 by Ai-fftstrong and Associates, Inc. In general, the soils investigation found that "the on-site soils appear to be quite uniform to the depths explored (16 feet). In general, the soils are granular, with a high percentage of cobbles and boulders .... Based on laboratory sieve analyses, the soil fraction smaller than 2" is predominately gravel and sand with varying amounts of silt. The measured silt content of the minus 2-inch fraction ranged from 4 to 19 percent." Lot 7, Block 3 of Overlook Estates is located on the eastern border of the subdivision. The land immediately to the east of this lot is undeveloped. Water Wells There are two water wells and a proposed water well located within 200 feet of the proposed septic system. The existing wells were drilled to depths of 93 and 423 feet. Both proposed wastewater disposal system locations are outside the 100' radius of influence for these wells and the proposed well. The proposed wastewater disposal system should not impact either of the existing wells nor the proposed well. The water supply well for Lot 6 Block 3 and the proposed well are located up-gradient from both proposed wastewater disposal systems. The water well for Lot 3 Block 4 is producing from approximately 400' below the ground surface. Wastewater Systems No wastewater disposal systems are located within 200 feet of the proposed disposal system. Reserved Space A 100' septic system setback exists on the eastern side of this lot. This 100' setback protects a small stream on the eastern lot line from septic system encroachment. The proposed system will be constructed outside this setback. The proposed wastewater disposal system locations and the water well are located such that surrounding undeveloped lots will be developable. Drainage In general, the lot has a consistant 10 percent slope from the north end of the lot to the south. An abrupt bank nmning the entire length of lot on the east edge drains directly to the creek. The creek bed lies about 10 feet below the bank and occupies a small part ora 50' wide bed. The majority of the rainwater and meltwater should enter the groundwater with little or no surface runoff due to the very high percolation rate of the soils.
