The crib was pumped and approximately 1000 gallons of water was removed and then the system was recharged with fresh water and after a period of 24 hours approximately 136 gallons of water had percolated out of the crib. It can be concluded from this test that the crib is not currently functioning adequately for a two bedroom residence. Since a new septic tank is to be installed it is recommended that a new absorption area be provided at the same time. The septic tank and absorption area should be installed for a minimum of a three bedroom residence.
