A sewer system adequacy test was performed on the system located on the referenced property, as you requested. The septic tank cou]:d not be pumped due to an obstruction in the clean-out. It was necessary to have the septic· tank excavated and at that point in time it was noted that the top of the tan]{ was covered with a sheet of plywood and that the ·tank was vertical steel tank with ap]proxima~teiy 500 gallons capacity. It will be necessary to have the septic tank replaced with a tank wi~h a minimum capacity of !000 gallons with two compartments. The seepage pit was charged with 900 gal].ons of fresh water and after a period of 24 hours all the water which had ]peen added to the crib had percolated out° It can be concluded from>this test that once the septJ_c tank is replaced. ~..;i'th a new tank of 1000 ga].lons capacity the seepage and septic tank combination v~il], be adequate for the three bedroom residence located on this property.
