O, Box 1201 Eagle River, AK 99577 Dear Ms. Nicolaysen: Reference property ow~ed by Jim Mutcraff in the Raymond Tedrow Subdivision, Block 4, Lot 21, Eagl~ River, Alaska. ~, A sewer system adequacy test was conducted on 21 and 22 October 1978 per your request. The septic tank was pumped and 500 gallons were removed. In order to w~rify the size of the ~ank for this three bed- room residence, the tank was excavated and inspection ]port opened. It was found that the second compartment of the tank was full of solids and required tho addition of water and a second pumping to remove an additional 500 gallons. As a result, the septic tank its verifi~d to have a capacity of 1,O00 gallons. The water level in the seepage pit was recorded. The pit was charged with 750 gallons of water. Percolation over a 24 hour period as recorded on 21 October 1978 resulted in the removal of 1~355 gallons bringing the water level below the original recorded figure. It can be concluded that percolation through this seepage pit will provide for approximately 452 gallons per bedroom over a 24 hour period. On the basis of the above survey and test, it is determined that the system (septie tank and seepage pit) is adequate. 1 Incl Statement CF: Dept of tlealth and Environmental Protection
