Ref: Proposed Septic System Upgrade for River View Estates; Lot 4, Block 2,
To whom it may concern:
The existing 4 bedroom house is served by a private well and a three bedroom septic system. The septic
system is in a state of failure and needs to be upgraded. We are proposing to install a four bedroom septic
system, with a 1250 gallon septic tank, and a deep trench type drainftcld. One test hole was excavated on
the property. The drainficid will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole. Comments
regarding the design are summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached logs which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the
percolation test results.
2. DRAI\FIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE NVATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing the average topography in the
proposed septic area is approximately 5-10% running south to north. In short, there are no slope
concerns.
We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems.

TEST: PASSED XXX FAILED
COMMENTS: System found to be operating satisfactorily. There was 2.7' of measurable liquid in one SAS MT
and 2.8' in the other, prior to beginning the test. Since the home was vacant, the septic system
was soaked the day prior to the test with the addition of 2000 gallons to it. The next day it was
tested by adding 600 gallons to the system (the design daily flow). The level in the SAS MTs slowly
rose 1.0' in each, leaving about 0.3' of ED still available in the SAS. A recovery measurement, taken
23.4 hours after stopping the test flow, showed that the system had returned to its starting level.
