RE: NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM PERMIT
LEGAL: GUDVEINA #1 LOT 1
This submittal amends the previous MOA permit (OSP21134) issued and the owner has
requested that we obtain a new septic permit for the above referenced lot. We propose to install
shallow trenches and 1500-gallon tank to serve the proposed 3-bedroom residence.
The design is based on the attached recent test hole along with a sieve analysis. A sieve was
taken to verify soils of these less dense sandy soils and originally also thought cleaner with less
silt than the sieve analysis. To allow for increased absorption & effluent transference to the
receiving soils, Type II soils will be added followed by 2’ of MOA sand and the effective depth
per the attached design.
Groundwater was not observed at excavation but was monitored at 19’ on September 4, 2024.
The property will be served by the existing well located on the lot and we have requested the
well & pump logs. The slopes are basically flat / moderate at 0-3% at the proposed upgrade
location.
The lot and area are served by private water. The design will not impact any of the neighboring

To Whom it may concern:
This is a request for a septic and well permit on the above referenced lot. A total of 2 test holes were
excavated and found the same material top to bottom (SM/ML) with no water during excavation or after the
7 day monitoring period. The perc rate was 10 minutes per inch. A simple deep trench has been designed
with a slower perc rate for longevity. The new system is a simple pressurized 6 bedroom system with 8 feet
of effective depth. Two bedrooms in the shop/garage building and 4 in the future new home. Both houses
will have pressurized tanks connected to the same field. A new 1500 gallon tank has been designed for the
future house but will not be installed at this time. This new system will not impact any of the neighboring
properties. The slope is less than 3-5 percent across the lot, see the site plan.
