The assessment of the condition of the well and septic applies only to the conditions as of the day tested. The flow and absorption rates may change due to subsurface conditions that may not be observed from the surface, changes in land use, local soil characteristics, groundwater levels that may fluctuate during the year, quality of construction (workmanship & materials), the water usage of the family being served by the system and maintenance. The operational life of all well and septic systems are subject to these various and dynamic characteristics and are outside the control of the evaluator of the well and septic system. OF HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION December 17, 1981 Department of Health and Environmental Protection 825 L Street Anchorage, Ak. 99501 [~r.t., 1 8 I98! RECEIVED Dear Les: On December 16, 1981 I inspected the well and took a water sample for the house on lot 8, block 2 K~silof Subdivision. This house is located on Glazonoff Street. The well has a seal and stand approximately one foot above the ground. The electrial wires are enclosed in flexible metal conduit. The sewer system has all caps on the standpipes. The distance fr~n the well to the septic tank is 75 +/- 2 ft. I spoke with John Kennedy about the distance to the tank noted as 95 ft and to the field as 10!5 ft. My measurements to the cleanout on the 'tank end of the field was 86' +/- 2. He felt the distance rquiren~nts of t00 f't could be waived. The results of the bacterial test for the water is attached. It was satifactory. Sincerely, C. Reid Jr., PhD, PE
