A test pit: was excavated and a visual inspection of the soJ.]s was conducted or: subject site
on April ~l, 1970. The attached soils ]o[~ show~ thn findins,~. The inorganic silt was
judged marginal for on site sewer djspo,,~al and a perco!ationtest was 2. herefore conducted.
A six inch diraneter hole was drilled to a to~s] depth of 20 feet, filled with clash water
and left overnigth. (16 hours) The rate of .~aterabsorot~on~ ~ was~,~e~'~r.~ the next day
~pril 6, and was found to be ~% min. per inch. For this ..... ~ '

requires 190 square feet of ab~oz'ption area per bedroom, fhis can be achieved by digging
a trench 8 feet Seep, 2 feet wide and ~) feet ]ong, filling the b~ 'om 4,~ feet of the

! will recommend that you ins-tal2 the trench on the south side of the ]lot, tasking pro-
vision for a re'~lacement trencq.You should realize that at some point in the future
the original trench will p~u.~ u? 8-nd will have to be re?oced. ~n]~ may take 10, 15 or may-
be 20 years.
