Ref: Proposed Septic System Upgrade for Manor; Lot 4
To whom it may concern:
The existing 4 bedroom house is served by a class "C" (see attached ADEC "Drinking Water Watch"
details) community well and a septic system. The drainfield is in a state of failure and needs to be
upgraded. We are proposing to install a new deep trench type drainfield and a new 1500 gallon STEP
tank. One test hole was excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot
radius of this test hole. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached 2015 log which shows the soil classificwtions, groundwater monitoring,
and the percolation test results.
2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface water concerns.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: The average topography in the area of the proposed drainfields is 25-30%
running northeast to southwest.
5. SLOPE WAIVER: Due to site constraints, we are requesting ap foot waiver to slopes in excess
of 25%. We anticipate excess material coming from the excavatioff and propose to have the slopes
within 35 feet filled in so that slopes do not exceed 25%. See attached design drawing and profile
drawing.
We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation and the granting of this waiver would have on
adjacent wells or septic systems. If you have any questions, please contact us at 337-6179. Thank

The pipe 10 feet of the end of the STEP tank is an inspection pipe for the electrical wiring.. the pipe on the right of the
septic tank manhole I believe is the electrical access riser (4"). Walatka is missing the end of the old drainfield on the
right side of the deck.
