Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: Septic Tank Upgrade Permit-Meadow Ridge Estates B1, L6 The owner has requested we proceed forward to obtain a septic permit to upgrade the failed septic tank on the subject lot. The proposed upgrade will serve the existing 3-bedroom house. Due to elevations, surface water and only having 16' between the foundation and the existing absorption fields, we propose to removing the existing septic tank and reinstalling the new one in the same place in order to maintain 5'+ to both the field and the foundation. The existing data shows good, stable, compactable soils and reinstalling the tank in the same location should not impact foundation stability. The existing septic tank has existed for 35 years with no known issues. The adjacent lots are served by public water as noted on the design. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed tank. We do not expect there to be any adverse effect on adjacent lots by the development of this tank.
