If the 5 bedroom residence on the property is to house 10 people, the average load on the system can be expected to be 750 gallons per day or .52 gallons per minute. During the test, the system accepted 70 gallons in 100 minutes. This indicates an average effluent acceptance rate of approximately.7 gallons per minute at the time of the test. March 3, 1978 1st National Bank of Anchorage Page -2- Because the house on the lot is not occupied, we assume that the leach field was not at its normal degree of saturation. The test results indicate that the system was disposing of effluent at an adequate rate, however. We can therefore conclude that the system is adequate for a 5 bedroom residence.
