For many years the owners believed that their legal description was Lot 2; Block 2; Highland Terrace however, verification by plat map shows that the correct legal for this property is Lot 11; Highland Terrace Subdivision. The on-site waste water disposal system and well was upgraded in September 1983. At that time a waiver from the well to the septic tank of 85 feet was granted by the MOA. Request you now issue the at~ached Health Authority and formally grant a waiver of 85 feet for the septic tank from the on-site well. A well log for the well on the property is not available, however well logs on adjoining properties are provided for your information. The topography in this general area is relatively flat with wells exceeding a depth of 300 feet. Soils are generally clayey gravel (hardpan) and it is our opinion that the horizontal separation distance prescribede by 18AAC72.021 are not necessary in this instance~ Our risk analysis indicates that the well is almost sure to always be free from any form of contamination resulting from household sewage. A copy of 'the inspeetion report for the upgrading of the sewer system has previously been submitted to your office.
