River, Alaska 99577 Dear Mr. Hughes, Reference: Lot 1: Block 3~ Henkins Subdivision A sewer system adequacy test was performed on the system located on the referenced property, as you requested. The septic tank was pumped and verified to have a capacity in excess of 4000 gallQns. The seepage pit and absorption trench was tested by flowing water through the ~system for a period of 48 hours. During this time the system accepted approximately 90 gallons of water per bedroom per day without any adverse effect. However, the Municipal Standards rec~ire an acceptance of 150 gallons per bedroom per day. This resulted in a deficieney of approximately 780 gallons over a 24 hour period. As a result of the above test~_it has been determined that the septic tank is adequate in. capacity, ~Owever the absorptio~y~em ~.~qu~ upgrading for approximately 5.2 bedrooms. When this work has b~n a~compli~hed the ~9~r all absorption system should be adequate for the 13 bedrooms located in the apartment building located on this property. As you requested a soil test will be performed and a design for the upgrading will be provided you in the very near future.
