Healer: Here are the results of the soils log and percolation test for Lot 1, Blk 1, Heritage Hills. Our log shows the soils to be silt with an occasional bit of gravel. The soils were generally wet From ground surface to the bottom of our test hole. We hit water at 15ft. depth. The hole was plugged with silt and backfilled to 13Ft. lhe percolation test was run From 8-13ft. and From 8-12Ft. Our results calculated to 256 sqFt of seepage area per bedroom. As your home is a 4 bedroom home the seepage area should be 1024 sqFt. and the septic tank should be a 1250 gallon tank. The Anchorage Department of Health and Environmental Protection records show an area of 450 sqFt. and a 1000 gallon tank For a three bedroom home. IF your try to sell your home:as a 4 bedroom'home you will have to add additional septic tank and absorption Field capacity. In order to bring your absorption Field up to the required amount you would have to add another 574 sqFt. of trench. This may be difficult to do and still maintain the lO0 Ft. distance From your w~ll and not crowd your lot line. There are two possible locations shown. This investigation was performed in accordance with your request of April 11, 197~ and those procedures outlined in a letter dated July 10, 1975, by Mr. Rolf Strickland of the Muncipality of Anchorage Department of Environmental Quality. A single test hole was drilled within each of the subject lots for the purpose of defining general subsurface soil conditions for the proposed sanitary systems. Drilling was accomplished with an auger type drilling rig and each test hole was extended to a total depth of 18.0 feet below ground surface. The final logs of the test holes are included on Drawing B-03. Groundwater was not encountered in either test hole while drilling. A percolation test was performed mn each test hole from a depth in- dicated on the attached tables and reflects average infiltration from that depth to the bottom of the hole.
