The plan view drawing shows that the distances from the well to the public sewer line are too close, even for the time that the sewer line was constructed. The well was constructed in 1971, the sewer line was constructed in 1975. At that time 80 feet of separation between a class C community well and a pubN. c sewer line was required. The septic system cannot be installed ~] lot 6 because of the encroachments on another class C well and a class A well. The septic syst~n has been located in the only conceivable place on lot 5 as shown ~] the accompanying site plan. As the well log shows, there is a layer of clay and gravel from 21 to 29 feet. This clay layer should inhibit vertical movement of groundwater, thus preventing any possible contamination of the well by the septic system. The property owner has initiated a sewer LID to extend public sewer to the homes by the end of 1985; at that time, the on-site sewer system will be abandoned. Letter to that effect are enclosed.
