Along with your proposal this office will require the following provisions: Your company verifies the integrity of the S.T.E.Po tank in question. Either the existing alarm is retrofitted or another alarm is obtained to alert the property owner in the event the grinder pump fails to run when 100 gallons of sewage is accumulated. Upon completion of the above, this office requests an inspection report from you accompanied with a schematic drawing of the construction. Sincerely, Daniel J. Within th~ septic tank was plac~d a smaller basin with a s~g~ grinder pump., However, due to th~ distanc~ between the lift station and public s~w~r main, and due to a bl~edback weep hol~ within the system, th~ pump cycles frequently. Th~ lift station basin holds a little mor~ liquid than th~ quantity which "bl~eds" back from th~ s~w~r lin~.~ Instead of placing a check valv~ within th~ s~wer lin~ which would incr~as~ the potential for freezing and breaking th~ s~wer pipe, w~ proposed using the existing s~ptic tank ~fflu~nt pump system tank as the catch basin. Th~ wast~wat~r pip~ would b~ r~-plumbed into th~ first compartment of th~ septic tank.. Th~ s~wage solids grinding pump would be plac~d in thc bottom of the first compartment with the on-off setting such that approximately 100 gallo~ would b~ pumped with ~ach cycl(~,,r W~ fe~ this quantity will r~duc~ th~ frequency of sewage pump cycling and y~t b~ minimal ~nough to prevent th~ wastewat~r from anaerobic decomposition which would classify the container as a s~ptic tank. These alarms, seal failure light and heat sensor in motors are all standard no extras required, no extra cost. ALC-15 CONTROL FLC-15 CONTROL LEVEL CONTROLS On-off level in the sump basin is controlled by the Myers ALC-15 completely sealed adjustable level switch. All parts of the control are of corrosion resistant plastic with plastic weights adjustable on support cable for levels required. Adjustable in the field, no factory setting required, makes maximum use of the basin storage capacity. The switch operates magnetically with no rods or mechanical devices extending through the housing. Switch mounts on discharge pipe so that it is removed with lift out pump assembly. One switch is used for simplex operation and two switches for duplex operation. The second switch in the duplex system is called the override control and starts second pump if the lead pump cannot handle the inflow or if the lead pump has failed. Alarm buzzer or flashing red light comes on when the override control is energized indicating possible pump failure. The high water alarm control is the Myers FLCA-15 control and has a switch sealed in a solid polyurethane float. This is a fixed level switch and is used on all simplex systems and on duplex systems where an optional high water alarm is specified. Special Bracket is available for mounting control box directly to basin. Wires are protected by flexible conduit. SUPPORT BRACKET FOR NEMA 3R CONTROL BOX ,This bracket bolts to the ribs of the fiberglass basin giving a compact rugged mounting for outdoor installation of the electrical control box. Bracket is coated with baked on epoxy paint and is bolted together for easy shipping. For use with both simplex and duplex control boxes. (Lot 5 Tract A-1 Lake Ridge Terrace S/D) This office has a record of two expired well permits. From information supplied by the owner, we know that a well was originally drilled on Lot 5A and later abandoned. A second well was d~illed in ~rror on the lot to the north.' We do not have'welt logs for either drilling site. As a result of a sewer complaint, this office determined that the connection to the public sewer line was via a 2" pressure line which flowed from a three compartment septic tank equipped with a pump. The line from the tank would, by necessity, cross Fire Creek. To date, this office has been given no written information on the actual installation. We request the following prior to any approval by the Board: 1) An as-built by a civil engineer showing the location of the septic tank and all piping to and from the tank; 2) A detailed drawing of the line crossing the creek which shows the special construction methods and materials required for stream crossing; Department of Economic Development and Planning April 4, 1989 Page Two 89-016: 3) A letter from ADEC indicating approval of the stream crossing.
