The well and septic plan are for a single family residence only. 2. The drawing and or site plan shall be a part of this specification. All materials and workmanship shall meet the Anchorage Department of Health and State Department Of Environmental Conservation requirements. 4. All soil tests are advisory to the design and are to be verified or modified in the field by the engineer. 5. All excavations and depths are advisory and are to be verified or modified in the field by the contractor to meet Municipality of Anchorage, Department of Environmental Conservation requirements. 6. It is the responsibility of the owner to obtain all necessary permits or easements and to locate any adjacent multi-family wells. 7. The excavation is to be exactly in the area shown on the site plan, any deviation requires engineer approval. 8. It is always recommended that a surveyor locate the nearest lot line position and the location'of any easements. B. TRENCH 1. The minimum well productivity required by this Department (AMC 15.55) for a 4-bedroom residence is 0.41 gallons per minute. Although the subject well currently exceeds this minimum requirement, all parties concerned are advised that the production capacity of the well may fluctuate. Restriction of non-critical water uses such as washing cars and watering lawns and gardens may be required. The following comments, however, are considered to be of sufficient importance to be brought to.the attention of all present and future interested parties: '. 1. The results of a well flow test conducted on November 3, 1989 on the water supply on the subject lot indicated that, at the time of the test, the well was capable of producing 29 gallons per hour. The well recovery rate (the rate at which water from the aquifer enters the well bore) during the same test was 27.6 gallons per hour. The absolute minimum producing rate for a four bedroom single family residence that DHHS will approve is 25.0 gallons per hour. o It is very possible that during daily peak water use periods (in-house laundry use, multiple showers/baths, watering lawns/gardens, washing cars/equipment, etc.) the well will be "pumped off" which can result in damage and/or premature failure of the subsurface pump. In such cases where the well production is marginal, it is prudent to install a water holding or storage tank of sufficient capacity for a reserve storage of 24 hours.
