Upgrade Tank Design. A foundation clean out installed if needed. The tank will be located:  5’+ from any property line.         5’+ from any deck/stair support.         10’+ from building foundation.         10’+ from any water line.         100’+ from any surface water.         100’+ from any private wells.         200’+ from any public wells. Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Attn: Mr. Dan Roth Subject: Lot 31 Boulder Springs Subdivision Septic Upgrade Permit Dear Mr. Roth: Per our conversation today, I am writing to reform you that the above referenced lot has received an additional four feet of fill in the location of the current test hole. This fill was added since the original test holes and water monitoring was conducted in 1984. The owner imported the material and leveled the area where the proposed system is located. The soils log conducted by me shows that the top four feet to be organics and fill material. I have adjusted the water monitoring to a depth of ten feet below the existing surface. This elevation is approximately six feet below the original ground surface. The highest water monitoring on record for this lot is eight feet below the original ground surface, or 12 feet below the current surface. It is my opinion that the proposed system will be located at least four feet above the seasonal high water table. Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Subject: Lot 31 Boulder Springs Subdivision Septic Upgrade Permit Gentlemen: My finn was contacted to investigate the septic system serving this lot. The owner wished to install a second system on this lot. A single test hole was excavated on June 21, 1997. The soils report and a percolation test result is attached. Ground water was monitored for seven days. No groundwater or bedrock was encountered in the test hole. The lot is approximately 0.9 acres in size. Lot 31 slopes to the northwest at a rate of approximately 3 to 5 percent. The proposed installation will be located on the western portion of the lot. The existing field will be reused. A diverter valve will be installed between the two fields. The septic tank was verified at the time of the test It was found to be competent and will be reused. Double clean-outs were installed down stream from the tank. The proposed location is greater than 100 feet away from the existing well serving this property and 25 feet from the water service lines. The surrounding wells are located greater than 100 feet from the proposed installation. The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing lots.
