On 5/24/82 Alaska Environmental Control Services Inc.
performed a soils test on Lot 18, Blk 6, Bruin Park Sub. The
water table was determined to be at a depth of 6'; with the
soils above that level being very wet. Because of the high
water level no perc test was performed. After receiving
further instructions we went back to perc the lot on 9/2/82.
When digging the perc hole water was encountered at a depth of
2~.
Wastewater Disposal Regulation 15-65-060A requires a minimum
of 4' between the water table and the bottom of any on-site
septic system. A mound-type septic system could possibly be
installed. This would cost in the neighborhood of $14,000 to
$18,000. Another option is to install a curtain-drain and
lower the water-table. This also would be very expensive.
