We are requesting a wavier of the drainfield to lot line separation for the above reference property. The
survey prepared by Alaska Construction Surveys shows the drainfield encroaching within 2' of the North
property line which is less than the required 10'.
We have verified that despite this encroachment, the drainfield location does not appear to encroach on
the well, septic, or otherwise impact the adjacent property (Stockhausen Lot 2). The lot is already
developed and appears to have enough space for a reserve septic site.

Dear Mr. Sund:
The Municipality Health and Environmental Office records do not
reflect the upgrade to your seepage system serving the duplex
located on Lot 27, Stockhausen Subdivision. The attached sheet
reflects approximately the conditions which exist.
The septic tank was pumped on 15 October 1978 and approximately
750 gallons were removed. All of the solids could not be pumped
out to verify the capacity of the tank; however, in accordance
with Municipal records, the existing septic tank is 1,000 gallons.
Both the old and new seepage pits were full of water. The new
pit was pumped and then recharged with 1,000 gallons of water. 'At
the completion of 24 hours, approximately 300 gallons of water were
removed through percolation. I regret to inform you that this is
not adequate and an additional upgrading of the system will be
required. A soil test for this property is on record at the Health
and Environmental Office.
