Health and Human Services Re: Lot 105, Sec. 8, T15N, R1W, S.M., Septic System Site Plan The site plan for Lot 105, Sec. 8, T15N, R1W, does not show distances to wells, septic systems etc. on Lots 103 and 106 as the owners denied us entry to thier property. This agrees with the soils log of a previous test hole on this lot. The receiving soils are a silty gravel with a percolation rate of 19 minutes per inch. This requires an application rate of 0.6 gpd/sf. For a 4 bedroom home the trench is calculated at 1000 sf. of absorbtion area. (4x150)/0.6 = 1000 sf. The lot has a ridge running east-west through the center of the lot. The building site will be on this ridge. The septic system will be on the north side of the ridge on a slope of approximately 10%. The well will be on the south side of the ridge. The large lots (2½ acres) with the required separation distances, adequate soils and drainage make chances of contaminating domestic wells remote.
