The existing concrete tank was inspected, and the baffle system has failed. A new tank is proposed after the concrete, retaining the existing tank in line. The proposed septic tank upgrade will have very limited impact on adjacent properties for the following reasons: 1. The area has large lots allowing sufficient room for septic sites. 2. Immediate neighboring septic systems are all +30' distance. 3. Reserve space is adequate. There is an existing system in place that was tested as adequate 4. The system was then recharged with 800 gallons of fresh water and after a period of 24 hours approximately 44 gallons had percolated out of the crib. i~ can be concluded from the above test that the septic tank is currently functioning adequately and has an adequate capacity for the three bedroom residence. However, the seepage pit has completely failed. I regret to inform you that it will be necessary for you to have this system upgraded.
